Offline mode

I would like to have a mode where the system only talks to local devices and does not connect to anything over the Internet. This especially includes an offline update process where I can update via USB stick for example.

I don't think this will be added, considering that HexOS probably needs to check if your license is valid or not.

There is no way in hell they are adding always-on DRM to an OS whose whole purpose to exist is to help people be less dependent on the cloud.

Hi there! An offline local UI is coming with the 1.0 release. You will need to be online for initial setup, but after that you can leave your server offline.

Any features that require internet like app installs will of course not be available until you go online again.
