Im brand new into the home server/lab space. Im wanting to set up and NAS as well as a plex/jellyfin server. I am a student so even 100 dollars is a bit steep for me. Sell me on hex OS.

if you find $100 usd steep then the underlying project that powers hexos is truenas this is free but requires additional setup. 

this may be the way to begin your home server project, if you have some extra time to take a look at some you tube tutorials you can probably get a decent jellyfin setup going.
