Most isp will not let you run a email server, you will have to do a lot of config to circumvent the blocks. Now if are going to place this on a data center then yea you can

Yes! Having run my own private mail server, it is not a simple task and requires constant maintenance.

HexOS is for less techy people and will provide a set it and (mostly) forget it option like the off the shelf NAS products you can get on Amazon. That was why it was made.

The target audience for HexOS will not be needing a private mail server app.

Regardless, Having the option would be a nice to have.
I know my ISP allows it and I have mine running but I would love a set it and forget it solution.
