Limits to lifetime license

I know things like secure remote access and other metered features are going to probably be paid add ons as they incur running costs and we all gotta pay bills, but I’m wondering if there will be some sort of tiers or overall limit to the amount of drives or other hardware or if it will be 100% hardware agnostic for core features for the lifetime license.
