I set up my own server (very easy) and install plex server.

1080p movies works fine (no issue)

2160p movies without GPU passtrough feature are impossible to play

So we need GPU passtrough feature asap

Its not ideal but you can set up GPU for Plex in the TrueNAS UI.  Apps->Plex->Under Application Info->Edit.

For Intel/ATI/AMD you can just add device and put /dev/dri for both options.  For Nvidia, you will have to install the runtime and then add environment variable NVIDIA_VISIBLE_DEVICES=all

I haven't tested this with HexOS specifically but docker is docker so it should work

I have an NVidia GPU (RTX 2070) I'm stuck on this spot here, how do I complete this step? For Nvidia, you will have to install the runtime and then add environment variable NVIDIA_VISIBLE_DEVICES=all

When I followed the instructions I scrolled to the bottom and clicked "Use this GPU" but got a lengthy error message. Guessing because I didn't follow the instruction above. Thank you.

This fixed it for me:

Still make sure to still add that environment variable though.
