you can just add them as a users. I am not sure how many permission options they have.

The license is for the hardware machine to run HEXos. So if you want a second machine or an offsite backup it would need a second purchased license.

Hi there! If you just want your roommate to have access to specific folders you can easily set that up. You can add as many local users as you want.

So for Immich, every user has a dedicated login, which needs to be configured in Immich and is a different user from the one you created in Hexos.

The one in Hexos is meant to access the folders only and cannot access any app. No other user ever needs to access the deck.

How you connected to the folder depends on your OS, but SMB is used and you should find plenty of guides on how to setup it up for your specific OS. 🙂

I downloaded the Immich app on my phone and it asks for the Server Endpoint URL. Do you know where I find that? I tried the server https/http and the IP address that it gives you when you pull the server up on a monitor but that doesn't work and Im not sure what else it would be. I just found the add user on immich but the only way I am able to access immich from my personal devices is if I login on the deck and then launch the Immich app from the deck.

I finally figured it out how to login to the app after 3 days of trying and adding her as a user on it. Do you know what application I would use to make phone backups on the server so if my phone gets broken I don't loose anything? I just lost my phone like a month ago and had to pay $1,000 at a data recovery center to smart switch my device and I don't want that to happen again. But I am not sure how to do backups to the hexos server I created.
