mildest_jinx_0l Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 I have a DAS with already 2 drives of 8to. Can I use it with HexOS? thank you for your help
RichRay Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 I have a similar situation. Already have a Terramaster with two mirrored drives containing data. Can this be plugged in and used without losing the data on the drives? Thanks!
mildest_jinx_0l Posted December 7, 2024 Author Posted December 7, 2024 Hey RichRay I was thinking about our situation. I think I’m going to take one drive format it and have a clean install. Then transfer the data from the drive to the one in HexOS. Once it’s done I’ll set the drives in raid 1. What do you think?
Mobius Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 If hexos sees it as one drive it won't work currently. As of now hexos needs to be the one making the pool of at least 2 drives. External drives are also not recommend in general
mildest_jinx_0l Posted December 8, 2024 Author Posted December 8, 2024 Sooo I need 3 drives? I have 7to of data, how should I set up HexOS without losing my data? also what is the issue with external drives? If that change anything they are in a DAS.
