AleiCat Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 For example, can my old Socket 939 board come back from the grave, or does it need to be newer than that? Can I make use of a dual Xeon board from the DDR2 days? Or, is my retro hardware still gonna have to sit on the bench for this one? 2 Quote
AleiCat Posted December 4, 2024 Author Posted December 4, 2024 If anyone at all is curious, I've figured out my Supermicro H8SSL-i is a no-go (4GB system RAM, sadly), but my X7DVL-E is a go. I'll be overjoyed to press it back into service. Quote
Dylan Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 I think (not know) that if any given HW meets minimum capacity you'd be fine. Like if you have 8BG DDR2 with a Celeron chip that met clock speed minimums...you should be able to run. Now ow performant would it be? Quote
