Droz Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 One might ask why? Because it would might migrating from other system as simple as just adding in the drives from the old system and allowing a person to copy all the data off at sata/sas/nvme speed, and onto new drives in a new system whether they be internal or on an HBA with an external enclosure. Why would anyone do this you ask? Maybe their old hardware has failed but the drives are still good. It would be super handy for getting old data back again and/or faster migration off old hardware and able to reuse old drives 2 Quote
Humor4Fun Posted 43 minutes ago Posted 43 minutes ago I would love to be able to run a hexos VM on my esxi box, and use it as a drop in replacement for OMV. I use mdadm arrays and mergerfs on top of that. But there's no possible way for me to build a new system and transfer one array at a time into the hexos install. Quote
