Just bought the double license and I have a question about....

Question

Super excited for this. I'm done with Apple iCloud, and remote storage out of my control so I'm looking forward to making my own server, however.

Does HexOS have a way to communicate with a UPC? For example.

Say I lost power and HexOS communicates with the ups and the ups says "hey! We lost power, you got 20 minutes before your dead!" So the server shuts down after it finished whatever it's finished. But they starts back up when power returns it boots back up? Or is this. BIOS setting? (I don't think it's a bios setting)

How would the UPS in this case communicate with the server? Do you have a specific UPS in mind, or a general question?

In essence, HexOS runs Linux and TrueNAS. If the UPS has a way to send this information to the server in some way, an application could probably be built for this. From a quick look around HexOS apps I couldn't find anything, but I would guess this would be solvable on the TrueNAS side, of course, depending on the UPS.
