kolin Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 Does Hexos allow me to create encrypted folders and pools? I mean does it natively supports it or I need to switch to Truenas UI for this? Quote

Be aware that it’s not possible to just turn on encryption on an existing pool, so it will require a wipe I’m afraid. Ok... sooooo.... does that mean that I can set up HexOS, go into Truenas, enable encryption, and then HexOS will use it? Or can I set up a Pool in Truenas before setting up HexOS then import the encrypted pool? I kinda feel like this being an Open Source project it would inherently include privacy and security at its base. Base pool encryption is at least the bare minimum that should be allowed. Essentially everything is clear text if someone gets access. Correct? Quote
0 Jor Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 I’m sure they will support this in the future. Quote
