Is HexOS currently stable enough to be used as a long term storage solution?

Sorry for the novice question. I'm currently building/setting up a NAS for the first time and wanted to use primarily for syncing/storing family photos, documents, music and video. I bought a HexOS license last year during black Friday and have only gotten the chance to set it up now. But I was wondering, since the OS is still technically in beta, can it be trusted to store my important files? I've seen posts on this forum and on reddit with people experiencing issues of their pools disappearing, issues with running apps, or unable to access their servers after power outages.

I’m a complete noob so I’m not sure if I’d be able to successfully troubleshoot losing access to my data, so I wanted to ask if it would be a bad idea to use HexOS as it currently is now as my primary storage solution? Should I be using a more developed platform instead? 

As I sidenote, I realize that having a backup of my files (either in the cloud or on a seperate system) is the most important thing, but my current issue now is that I don't have enough drives for a backup (but will happen in the future) and I want a central place I can store/access my files from multiple devices.

HexOS itself is in early development, so caution is warranted regarding it.

However, HexOS is built on top of TrueNAS, which is a mature, enterprise grade software, which is definitely good enough for your purposes.
