Klaus Christensen Posted Friday at 06:07 PM Posted Friday at 06:07 PM In our setup we use Google Drive for our .mp3 files (recordings of our church service), and share them with "Anyone with the link". I would like to skip Google Drive and host it local. Can I use HexOS for that? Regards Klaus Quote
Mobius Posted Friday at 07:58 PM Posted Friday at 07:58 PM Afaik at this time there is no easy way to do that with hexos. It might be better for you to use a prebuilt nas since most have that functionality built in. Maybe someone else has a better answer for you 1 Quote
PsychoWards Posted Friday at 10:27 PM Posted Friday at 10:27 PM Your best bet when using Hexos will be something like Nextcloud. This would be my recommendation but have a look at it. Also, depending on how many people are trying to download or stream the audio file, make sure your upload speed is fast enough to handle the requests, less likely to be an issue with audio files but very much an issue with video files. That is a very valid question. Doable without reverse proxy ? Probably with some tinkering and changing Truenas GUI ports. Should you do it? Definitely not. Quote
Shino Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I have done this using Nextcloud AIO. It took quite a bit of troubleshooting to get working in a way that uses Cloudflare Tunnel so I can access it remotely without exposing my IP address, and I'm looking at better solutions than Cloudflare Tunnel still, but so far it is working nicely and I have been able to use it to share files with students using just a link and not giving them login accounts. About to head to bed, but if you're interested, I can work on a step by step guide of what I did to get it working~ 1 Quote
