rporter996 Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Hello I got Plex all installed and working even have transcoding setup for my Nvidia p1000 however when I try to watch anything locally or remotely I keep buffering like my connection isn't fast enough if I turn the quality down to 1080p it works fine. My computer is more than capable of handling 4k content and I have 1g speeds all with wired connections. Any ideas??? I used to run Plex on this exact PC just with a wd black 6tb and with Windows and it worked flawless. I'm on a fresh install of hexos with 4 brand new 4tb wd red plus drives. Quote
nasEsteban Posted March 24 Posted March 24 Did you ever figure this out? This is happening to me too and sometimes Plex tells me that I don't have a direct connection when I'm literally watching on the same network locally. Quote
NEO101 Posted March 24 Posted March 24 I read online to check this box, save changes, and restart plex services. It appears to have worked for me. Quote
master_control_program Posted Thursday at 03:46 AM Posted Thursday at 03:46 AM @NEO101oh my freaking God thank you thank you thank you. I have been digging for days trying to figure this out. I could not get anything to play directly from my server while everything is hardwired at my home. It always used Plex Relay and limited me to 2mb/s. This did the trick. Glad I kept digging and found this thread. Quote
