Surcof Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Hello, I have purchreased the Hexos license and i'm looking for a little nas to use it as a home server: I will backup some document on it and i plan to run a minecraft server (not h24) and a FoundryVTT server on it Maybe some other media stuff with radarr I was planning on having about 1tb of space in Raid 1 with 2 ssd (Do i need another drive for the os?) I am looking for a mini pc that can fit the 2 drives and come cheap Every single comment is apreciated, since i have never done something like this My budget is around 300€ Quote
Mobius Posted March 4 Posted March 4 You do need a separate os drive, i recommend the cheapest ssd you can find for that. If it doesn't have to be a mini pc, a used optiplex might be a good fit for you. Foundry vtt recommends 2 cores just for it so aim for something with 4 or 6 cores at least. Quote
Surcof Posted March 4 Author Posted March 4 Is a Fujitsu Esprimo Mini Pc with Intel i5-7500T, Ram 16GB DDR4, SSD 512GB a good fit for me? i should be able to fit 3 disks in it (one ssd already installaed fot the os, a new crucial M2 drive and tnen replace the optical drive with another 2.5" ssd from crucial aswell i'have found it online for 130€ Quote
Mobius Posted March 4 Posted March 4 I'm a tad worried about the cpu, it's a quad core without hyper threading. But you probably can't do much better for the price and it meets your minimum requirements Quote
