ryoga Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 Would love to install this onto old QNAPs, Synology units that are not supported by their manufacturers anymore. It would bring these units out of the electronic waste pile and be useful again.

fozzebear Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 FWIW, there are a fair amount of tutorials out there for putting TrueNAS on QNAP systems. My tentative plan is to replace the stock QNAP software on a TS-464 with HexOS. There is some issues with fan controls sometimes not working, but I'll figure that out if it's an issue.
