xeon e51650v3 vs i7 10700k

I feel like I know the answer to this already but want to be sure.

I am buying an old VM workstation off of FB market and going to turn it into a HexOS NAS

Specs:

 

I also have my old Motherboard and CPU that I could just throw in the rack mounted chassis that I am getting

 

I am assuming that it would be better to go with my 10700k and move some of the other components over.

i would with the i7 just for the newer version of quick sync and the igpu

The 128GB ECC Memory would be a compelling argument for the server HW (but unfortunately the only compelling you, but a good one)
