lightly Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Hey guys! I just got started with my home NAS using HexOS and wanted to increase my network speed by adding a network card. Unfortunately, I plugged the new card in and there's nothing. No lights, no connections. Do I need to install a driver for the card? If so, how do I do that? Quote
dinecoj Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Hey there, do you also have a 10Gb ethernet capable switch? Or at least another 10Gb ethernet NIC for another computer? The drivers for this network card are likely not installed by default. From some googling, it sounds like this NIC uses the AQC107 chip, which another user was asking about: There are lots of posts about solid performance with this NIC in both Core and Scale, so people have definitely gotten it to work in the past. You would likely need to manually install the driver Also check out this old but still good and valid resource on 10Gb TrueNAS nics: https://www.truenas.com/community/resources/10-gig-networking-primer.42/ Quote
