Server Unavailable in Deck after modem swap

Question

Posted

I just changed modems from my ISP and opted to use my own gear due to the DNS restrictions.  After changing the modem, I no longer see the server on the Hex Deck - "This server is not available". I assume this is some sort of IP conflict. Are there plans to fix this issue, and how can I get around this/resolve it myself?

Changed modems from Xfinity to the Netgear Nighthawk (CAX80).

Thanks!

There's a thread already with this issue HERE, but i also posted about my fix as had the same issue when i moved my server to it's remote location.

Try those steps and see what happens?

I had the same issue after moving my remote server to it's final location.

As suggested above the steps i went through were;

  1. TN UI > Networking > edit global config
    • Update DNS hostnames (In my case router IP as #1 + 1.1.1.1)
    • Update ipv4 default gateway (Router IP)
    • Ensured 'inherit domain from DHCP' was checked
    • as wel as;

  2. Full server power off / shutdown / unplugged (MOBO has IMPI so doing this to ensure total shut down)
  3. Upon restart, waiting a few minutes, and eventually it reconfigured and the Hex console rediscovered the server.

Also worth noting, this server is behind Starlink CGNAT, and no issues so far which is thankful!
