I hope HexOS will provide a feature to restore data over USB. TrueNAS had removed this function and only accepts rsync jobs over the network.
While practical for people who have a 10 Gbit network, there is still a lot 1Gbit or even 2.5 Gbit out. I have 20 TB of data and a realistic network throughput of 200 Mbit/sec on a 1Gbit network.
A restore would take approx 222 hours.or approx 9 days.
I hope HexOS will provide guidoance on how to backup the data in such a way that it can be restored over USB 3.1 (or higher) without issues.
