pearson.lucas Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 I bought a Supermicro 809-12 and my understanding of the architecture is it is a single 1U unit but is has 2 serverboards in it where each has its own CPUs (2x), RAM, boot drive, as well as networking. Will I need 2 licenses for this? Quote
Dylan Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Hi @pearson.lucas Do they behave as a single unit? Meaning, is there a single OS instance that runs both boards? And welcome!! 1 Quote
Mawson Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 That machine would require two licenses, as it is technically two machines in one chassis, and would require two installs of HexOS. 1 Quote

I bought the license when they were $99 any way I could get that same deal for my second license? Quote
