Issues with links and mentions in mobile editor

This is a platform level issue I believe and not unique to our forum alone.

Device: S21 ultra, android 14, Firefox 133.0.3 (Build #2016060959)

When using the editor on mobile it has been nearly impossible for me to create or edit posts with @mentions, links, emoji, or photos. Basically anything that the forum platform automatically embeds something for

The issue seems to be that those entities are not handled properly in the editor, and don't fully exist in-line in the text of the post being written. This causes issues when trying to type near them (such as adding " 's" to an @mention), or deleting them. At mentions particularly seem to either avoid or capture the cursor such that they can't be escaped. It's a very odd issue.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Hey @Mawson

I have exactly the same issue. Are you using the Microsoft Swiftkey Keyboard? Or another 3rd party keyboard? If you do, can you try using the stock Samsung Keyboard to see if then you can working with mentions and smilies?

Swiftkey is the issue for me, but I'm not going back to the Samsung keyboard just for this forum. 🙂
