Markdown based Documentation/NoteKeeping Tools (Obsidian?)

I'd be interested in an easy documentation tool that also allows collaborative work. Im using apps like Notion and Fibery right now, but would like a self-hosted alternative.

The main reason for these tools over something like Nextcloud is largely ease of use, I find that these tools are way easier to just keep notes and do quick documentation.

 

I was thinking about Obsidian, but i dont like the single-user editing of this tool, not very familiar with other similar open-source projects
