I imagine that apps like these would be a docker container or similar, so not terribly related to the main thrust of the development, but still important to consider. Teamspeak3 is top of the list. I am also really curious about hosting IRC. I would love to go back to the old days of internet chat, back when MSN Messenger was King. The world was a simpler place back then... Does anyone here have experience hosting an IRC server? I think it could be a fun and useful alternative to having group chats on places like FB messenger.
Thomo Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 Matrix (open source Messaging system) can be used to setup something for group chats. Not only that, can be 'bridged' with a whole list of other platforms (https://matrix.org/ecosystem/bridges/) There are people who did look at a Matrix <-> Teamspeak bridge, not sure how its coming thesedays.
