Scorpio Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 I have a late 2014 Mac Mini that I put Hex OS on. I need to replace the HDD in it but I was curious if anyone else has used a late 2014 Mac Mini and how it is working for them. I also was curious if I could use an External HDD or SSD if I get an SSD to replace the internal HDD. Quote
Dylan Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 Hi @Scorpio - I am unsure if other users have deployed on Mac Mini but you can use the search feature located at the top under "Activity". Most external drives are USB interfaced and are not currently supported. There is some good info HERE. Have fun and share your experiences! Quote
aaronq Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 Not a MacMini but my current setup is a Beelink mini pc with 2 external HHDs hanging off it and it works perfectly fine. Both drives are WD Black 8tb external enclosures but in HexOS, one reads as a HGST and the other a WDC. Quote
