Andyoutside Posted Saturday at 09:11 AM Posted Saturday at 09:11 AM What is the best way to get licenses for friends or family? At this point I am not sure if they will be managing their servers or if I will do it for them. I expect to have data replicated between the servers for redundancy, Quote
Mawson Posted Saturday at 09:18 AM Posted Saturday at 09:18 AM This is a really great question! @Jon have you considered adding the ability to gift licenses to other users? Quote
Clixxi Posted Saturday at 01:02 PM Posted Saturday at 01:02 PM Or like the possibility to transfer a bought license ONE time (per license). That's another way we could gift friends and family. Quote
Luuke Posted Saturday at 08:48 PM Posted Saturday at 08:48 PM Maybe some sort of Gift-Code type Setup, where you could buy Codes to give to someone else? This way, if there is a redeem functionality on checkout, you could also do some raffles in the Forums and giveaway some Licenses in the Future! Quote

That's another way we could gift friends and family. Can't edit here. I ment that a bought license can only be transferred once as long as it is valid. ie: I bought two lifetime licenses and want to gift one to a family member. After the transfer from my account to the family members the license is useable for the family member but can't be transferred again to another account. Quote
Tomcatdk Posted Saturday at 09:45 PM Posted Saturday at 09:45 PM In the EU you are always allowed to resell a license, regardless of what the EULA states. In this early stage I guess they are focused on getting the OS of the ground and making people happy and then turning back for regulation compliance work at a later stage. 🙂 Quote
NAS Posted Sunday at 12:41 AM Posted Sunday at 12:41 AM :( https://hexos.com/terms No User Transfers HexOS licenses are non-transferable and are only authorized for use by the original purchaser. If you are an OEM vendor, please contact us at support@hexos.com for OEM program details. Quote
