Hi,

I might have to experiment with multiple desktop systems to see what best suits my future needs, hardware-wise. do I need to get a new license for each install ?

unfortunately, yes. each install require license.
unless you disconnect the previous server, then you can use that license again.

You don't need a new license, just make sure you remove the license every time you switch to another system

Only ONE server can be used (online) with a license.

i think during the beta you can move your license as many times as you want but i think the team mentioned they plan on limiting it in the future to every X amount of decomissions in Z months
