No search feature on the forum? - SOLVED! Activity>Search

I've been struggling to find information tailored to me because there appears to be no search function on the forum? Apologies if this has already been asked or documented somewhere, but alas, without the search feature I can't search for it! 😆 There is also every chance I am being a melon, and I just haven't found the search feature?

I found it! For those wondering it is under the activity tab at the top! Some feedback to the forum devs, it would be more user friendly to have a search bar in the top right like a lot of the common forums. Appreciate this might not be a priority atm!

IPB is horrendous, it shouldn't be h idden out of the way, It's a real shame they didn't go xenforo.

We went with IPS because we had familiarity with the platform and knew there were a number of features we wanted to deploy.  Xenforo, discourse, and a bunch of other options are great too, but I don't believe I've found a forum "king" just yet.  It really comes down to what you want to use it to do and right now, we are using a lot of features.

That said, I couldn't agree more about the search option being too hidden.  We will be updating that in the future.

Good to see that I wasn't the only one that didn't find the Search function, and had been blindly just browsing the forums. Nice to know that there is actually a Search function,

I would have never thought to check the Activity menu for a search function, seems like such a weird place to put it.

HEY!  I figured out how to make search more accessible!  It's now a top menu nav item.  Should help quite a bit.

NICE! Any chance it could get bumped right so it's the last option? Something about having a search function in the middle of a bunch of menus feels odd to me lol
