My Dell PowerEdge R820 Setup.

Dell PowerEdge R820 Server.

4x Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-4650 0 @ 2.70GHz 8core CPUs.

128 GB DDR3 Ram

6x 600 GB SAS Drives 2.5

Intel 2p x520/2P l350 rNDC 2x1GIG 2X10Gig Network adapter.

Installed HexOs multiple Times (Just Because I Like to do multiple installs) Other than the network weirdness that I always have with Truenas and unify network equipment all went well.

Seems to work better installing with just 1 Nic connected and hook up the rest after installation, I run 2 10GB Fiber lines. I Always have to do the same with Truenas.

I'm Very Excited to see how this develops. I Like Truenas but don't like the time it takes to learn it. I Run Server 2022 and 2025 on my other servers for my home Nas.

Like the setup. I order a used r730XD off eBay for mine and some update CPU's to kick it up. Did you order a flashed raid card for yours or did it have IT mode. I also order a new mini 300 raid card that has been flashed for Unraid and TrueNas, Proxmox mode. Mine I think is like yours has 2.5" HD. Right now I have mine loaded on Proxmox with 4 virtual 500gb drives and its working great.

The Raid card is it mode and HexOs is running on a Kingston 120GB SSD drive in a converted cd drive slot.

You will love the R730xd. I have one and I run server 2022 with StableBit DrivePool. It's also Flashed to it mode.
