Sorter Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 Hi all, i'm currently running a plex server for about 6 years on a windows 10 box with about 6 drives attached. I'm planning on moving over to a new box running Hex, however i'm not sure if i'll be able to pull over my existing database, watch history, date added order, etc. curious if anyone else is in a similar situation and how they're going about getting this done. worse case scenario i can start fresh by just moving the data over to Hex, however i'd really prefer to not lose watch history and other stats mentioned above. thanks for considering. Dylan Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 I checked Plex and found THIS ARTICLE but I didn't really like the way they worded certain things. But also found THIS GUIDE that looked really promising. Note, I have not used any of these so use your own judgement and good luck! 3 Quote
Nexis Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Ive done this before from a Windows Server to a Linux Server. It's a little convoluted, but it works... mostly. Its honestly kind of a pain and may not be worth the effort. But if you do do it, Good luck and I hope it works smoothly for you. This might help a little: Strategy for migrating to new server Quote
