A11Y (Accessibility) Control with Keyboard and Screen Reader

As a person who cannot see the screen, I want to use my screen reader assistive technology to interact with, navigate, and understand the full capabilities of the out of the box user interface of HexOS.

Please ensure that the UI whether it's web based, Linux based, or a mobile app is completely navigable by keyboard, and all items and their states/values are programmatically readable by screen readers like Orca (Linux), VoiceOver (macOS built-in), NVDA (Windows FOSS).

I have a career working on web and iOS applications. If there is any specific guidance or advice I can give, I'd be happy to.

I think this is sane, rational and possibly overlooked. I am sure the dev team is inundated however, I recommend reaching out to the moderators and engaging them on this request. Being sighted, If I can contribute with any advocacy or just simply assist, please feel free to connect and I will be happy to help however I can.

Thank you your post!

Hi there! As the lead designer on HexOS this is something I'm very interested in accomplishing! The current beta probably has several issues and we will be working to making this a great experience for all!

If you or anybody else who needs assistive technology discovers any issues, feel free to send me a DM here on the forum!
