To update apps on the Hex deck you currently need to open each app and trigger its update manually. In many cases an app must be started first; otherwise it gets stuck in a perpetual “updating” state on the HexOS deck. After that, updates often still need to be finished manually in TrueNAS UI, which feels more reliable than using the HexOS deck right now. Feature suggestions: 1. Add an “Update All” button that automatically starts any apps that need to be running to update, performs the updates, and then stops any apps that were started solely for the update process. 2. Add scheduled updates with configurable times (for example, “Every Monday at 05:00” or “Daily at 05:00”), including: - Notifications when an update fails. (Already implemented) - An option to disable automatic app updates entirely for users who want to preserve legacy apps. This would streamline updates and reduce manual maintenance steps that need to be done periodically.

Updates/install to apps without updating true nas issues
Stealth4490 posted a question in OS & Features
Hey, making sure I'm not dumb. I have an issue when I went to install Plex where it created the folders for everything but never finished downloading the app. Thought it was weird so hit install again and it immediately completed. Checked the notifications and Hexos is reading a completed job from Truenas, however going into the logs it's actually failing due to not having the most recent truenas version. With no way to update from Hexos right now it's caught in a weird communication loop, any idea when and how to keep everything up to date and why it's giving this misread error of complete instead of failed? -
Recieved an alert for update, yet none available and other issues

Hi All, Received a notification for an available update, though no update function exists within my UI, what are the corrective issues from my end to resolve this issue. Further, found bug regarding failing drive status mismatch between HexOS dashboard and truenas. Drive reported as "predictive failure" by both truenas and smartarray p840, though no such warnings were propagated to HexOS. Thanks!
