  1. Hi, I have an Acer Aspire X3810 from 2009 that I wanted to convert to a NAS. It has an Intel Q8300, 16GB of RAM and a 750GB boot drive inside. Just as I was going to pull the trigger on buying two 4TB drives I read somewhere that old BIOSes might not support drivers larger than 2TB. I checked my BIOS settings (I have version P01-B1 whatever that means...) and don't see any settings related to secure boot or UEFI, so I'm afraid this computer only supports legacy. Someone else mentioned that this is only a limitation for the boot drive, but if your OS has the correct drivers you can still use 4TB drives with a legacy BIOS. Could someone clarify if I would be able to use large capacity drives with Hexos and a legacy BIOS if I keep the boot drive below 2TB? I would love to know before I spend a lot of money on drives I might not be able to use. Thanks in advance.
