I've scheduled some time for myself this weekend to go to plain TrueNAS Scale. I don't see the benefit of HexOS yet. I am very eager for when it becomes worth it however almost everything I have done with the exception of creating shares, I have needed to switch over to TrueNAS GUI to accomplish. I'm not sure if this is on my end or if it is a HexOS thing, but I find the user interface to be unbelievable slow most of the time. I can have a fresh boot, let everything finish starting up and then I will click on Storage and wait a good 1-2 minutes before the icons actually show. My hardware is no super-computer but its definitely no slouch either.
No hate towards the service/product, just don't think its for me.
