  1. My work is upgrading our machines to Win11 and it's setting up Global Protect as an always on VPN. Previously I've been using WireGuard and connecting to my own WG VPN on my network when I needed to, or using my work VPN when I needed that too. But with the new always on VPN policy is no-user installed VPN. Okay, that sucks but it's their machine they can set the rules. I'll just sync when I'm at home and on my network... oh wait, always on VPN means even when I'm physically on my network I'm not on my network. So... does TailScale work differently enough from a traditional VPN that I might be able to use it?
  2. So my starting interest in HexOS is to have my own cloud server. I want to have a unified place where I can put my files that I can access on my home computer as well as on my laptop and phone when away from home. From what I can gather here HexOS is designed to be able to do much more than just that and I think I'll definitely be exploring the other stuff that HexOS can do... but this is certainly strong driver for me right now. Based on the reading/viewing I've gone it certainly seems that this is something that is intended for HexOS, but may not be ready for primetime right now. Is this something that can be done with HexOS in it's Beta state? If so, what options are there to access my files when away from home? If this isn't something possible right now or is possible but very complicated (I'm not tech newbie, but I would consider myself a tech guru... at least not on the networking side of things), what the future plans?
