    Rack server (1U/2U) would not be my choice for home office. I would go for tower style server or workstation. I have HP Z800 for this myself and it's not quiet either, but nothing like the Dell 1U I have. (Cannot remember the model)

    1) sound reasonable, I would pay 200€ if I would have a need for a rack server. 2) does it have powersupplie/s? Does noise matter for your location/setup? This is 1U rack mount server, correct? They usually loud for home, assuming server will be in the living space or next to it.
