TrueNAS Scale will allow you to use different capacity drives. For example I have a 14, 14, 14, and 16tb drive setup and it works in Scale (last drive is effectively only) 14tb. Sadly HexOS will not include my 16tb drive and will not allow me to manually set it so I'm essentially stuck and reloading TrueNAS on the boot drive.
