Did you try it in a VM yet?
  2. It is a must these days to have TailScale support, especially for secure remote access. It is far too easy to mess up a WireGaurd/OpenVPN Config, if the goal is security and simplicity, Tailscale VPN access should be a high priority.
  3. A new job. The boss said I was hired, the manager said I was hired, my friend said I was hired. But I won't know for sure until all of HR gets back from their holiday vacation and I get an offer letter 😅
  4. An easy and straight forward way to setup parity, I am aware that TrueNAS supports a version of Parity with Raid-Z1,2,3 but making it easy to understand and easy to setup would be a great plus
  5. TailScale will be a must.
  6. I think the idea is more of having the ability to use an alternative to MacOS and run VMs and such on the Mac. Though I will admit adding an entirely separate architecture outside of x86-64 would be quite the challenge and would need an entirely separate dedicated team to do. Apple and Microsoft have entire departments dedicated to just making ARM variants of their respective OS's, granted at Apple it is now flipped with a smaller niche team working on the x86 OS for their Server Mac Studio line and the main OS developers working on ARM. So while it would be nice, a better route would be to use Ubuntu on ARM and installing CasaOS on top of Ubuntu. Or use Asahi Linux which is a dedicated Apple ARM Linux distro.
  7. It would be great if yall would be able to add it in a few years. It would definitely set ya'll apart in custom NAS space. Even if it is handful of cards I think the community would be grateful.
  8. If not this, a very robust SMART readout and testing system would be nice. I am assuming TrueNAS already has such features, but if not, they definitely should be added.
  9. Something Unraid does very well is have fantastic and simple Docker support in the community apps tab. The home page states that simplified APP and VM support will be added, will Docker containers be a part of that?

  10. One of the biggest issues currently with custom NAS OS is that using MacOS with them can be a headache. Especially with TimeMachine. Will network features such as Network TimeMachine shares and Apple SMB be supported.
  11. Since hardwire is not always available for some people, will wifi card support be available?
