hi there im going to be getting a new build that will be my long-time server how do I move the drives and data I currently have on my current server to the new one without having a place to put the data between the transfer any help is appreciated

yep ive bit the bullet and spent about £150 on drives and a 5gbit network card too I appreciate your help

took your advice going to see how it goes and then once I see how it goes I might sell it all as one to my friend that wants to do the same and I'll then build my own to a higher spec if I need it

I've found some good deals on 500 GB SATA SSDs. Is it worth going with them and getting a PCI-to-SATA adapter?

I get that it would be cheaper, but is it worth it with the old hardware I've got and what I want to do?

Hey so my original plan was to use my old gaming pc as my nas only to now find that the ssd in it has died and a ram stick isn’t registering as its a pretty old system i5-6600, gtx 960, 16gb ddr4(now only 8), 512gb (ssd dead), 1tb (hdd) am I just best of starting over or should I just try and make this work I’d like to try and use plex and the photo backup app too curious to know what people think thanks in advance
