Hi all as per the title one of my HDDs is faulty and i will be replacing it, the issue i have is that i have no spare SATA ports so the question is, can i shutdown the server, physically replace the damaged HDD with new one and then restart? or should i get a PCIE SATA card first and connect the new drive there and do the replacement via the UI? By the way, i know the exact one since its the only WD in the pool, so there is no chance of mixing things. Thank you Mig
  4. Hi, quick question on hardware. Will an older server motherboard shut as ASUS Z9PA-U8 do for this? Or should I stick to newer and more mainstream hardware. Thanks Miguel
