  5. Just got my hands on this junker HP p6710f PC with decent specs. My cousin was about to throw this away, good thing I was able to save it from becoming e-waste. It originally had 1x 1TB WD Green, and I found x2 more for $20 on Marketplace. I also ordered the SSD for $20 (a Patriot one from Amazon). currently running it off a graphics tablet to troubleshoot next to my bananas(+10 Gbps) There is a storage situation going on right now. Hoping to fix it somehow, get apps to run off the SSD, and get started for real. I’m happy to finish setting up my first NAS, though!
  6. I’m really intrigued by the Buddy Backup feature you mentioned. Would it be possible to implement a shareable link system where users could send or receive large datasets, similar to how torrents work? For instance, users could select specific files they need from the shared data, with permissions in place to ensure proper access control. Additionally, it would be great if there were a forum or community section where users could connect to share things like movie collections or ROM sets in a copyright-friendly way, ensuring all exchanges are done with mutual consent and within legal boundaries.
  7. Hi, my name is Ganesh, I’m from Ontario, Canada. Back when XBMC was still called Kodi, I used to set up servers on an old Toshiba laptop that was handed down to me by my older sibling. Over the years, I’ve accumulated a lot of files on my computer and have always wanted to create a NAS backup device. However, I’ve been putting it off because it’s a lot of work, and I’ve been moving between campus and home for quite a few years now. I recently watched an LTT video, and the simplicity of this OS and the early access price finally motivated me to take the plunge Just before Dec 2 midnight 😄 I’m excited to see how developers will take this project forward! 🙂
