Hello everyone, wanted to ask this question as i did not see this being asked before.
Setup: 1 SSD 128GB for Hexos, 2x8TB Storage HDDs
Let me first start by saying great job to the team! please keep up the momentum!, Hexos installed and working perfectly. I have had few hickups where immich forexample could not be installed so just a fresh wipe/reinstall did the trick.
At this point in time, knock on wood, everything is working great. All phones are automatically being backed up to the HDD as we speak (5 days and counting).
Right now i want to take on another challenge and install HAOS in VM through truenas UI. Currently i have it setup on OrangePi, but i really want to put it on the server and have everything in one place.
My goal is to install it on the SSD instead of the HDD as i do not want HDD to be running 24/7 when not needed + speed of SSD for boot etc.
Question:
- When going in to Truenas, i do not see the SSD partition/pool. Is it too late for me to create a VM/HAOS install on the SSD or is it still possible to do it through truenas?
- I do not think this was an option during the installation to allocate a portion of SSD to HEXOS and another partition for other storage use.
- I do not want to reinstall HEXOS as i already have everything running and certainly not sure how to handle the already filled HDDs with immich data.
- If it is too late, is it something that can be imprelemnted in the 1.0? Example adding another partition to already working SSD with HEXOS?
I hope i explained what i am trying to do any my intentions.
