  1. This guy arrived earlier today and just works. I love when things just work and didn't need a bunch of configurations. This pool was created before I got the card. @ubergeek Thank you!
  2. I would like to be able to add the hardware I use to the my profile page. This could be a useful tool in helping people trouble shoot along with others to find stuff they may not know existed. Would probably need to accommodate for people with Multiple machines.
  3. The Card in question is a 9361-8i, adding this for search-ability on the forum, just in case
  4. Thank you, I will take a look. As for my card, that was what I saw when diving into the TrueNAS forums and Reddit.
  5. Do you have a SAS card recommendation? I have one that I got when purchasing a machine on FB Marketplace but it dosent work due to it being a MegaRaid card or something like that - here is the card in question.
  6. I have this guy and I bought a mini-SAS to Sata spliter for the back of the ICY Dock to the MB (MB is consumer grade, is this my issue?)- these drives are not appearing in BIOS either. The Drives came out of a series of Proxmox machines I was playing around with so I know they work.
  7. This is why that RJ11 port was a great add on their part, it allows for people to make add ons that might fill a missing feature that others may need.
  8. I have two different ones 1. NC552SFP 2. NC550SFP
  9. I really hope that they go commercial with it since in so form, or since its open source now we so more IPKVMs like this one.
  10. I backed the JetKVM and got it two days before I started building my HEX NAS - This thing has been amazing so far. Curious about other's experience with it.
  11. I will need to wait until I get home to get the specs on the SFP cards, but these are the only SFP related devices I have so I would need to upgrade networking to go along with that - I do plan on doing this in the futuretho
  12. The SSD pool is going to be small for now and mainly used for testing and playing around with it while I order HDD and upgrade - but its not a bad plan lol
  13. Hello fellow HEXians (or whatever name works lol), I bought a 4U machine off of FB market place that I am converting into my NAS, it had some parts that I am trying to repurpose. Turns out the SSD bay that I got with this is an ICYDock, which was pretty cool. I included the spec list off of the FB post for those curious. I switched to a I7-10700k with 16GB of RAM - this will be upgraded later. Now on to the issues: 1. My network card on my mb is a RealTek 2.5GBE, to my understanding and research this is not compatible with TrueNAS as a whole. I ordered an Intel 82575/82576 to replace it, this should be fine? 2. The system I bought had two LSI drive controllers, one for SSDs and one for HDD - after tinkering and finding out that the HDD cages were VERY loud i decided to remove those for now. but it looks like the SAS 9361-8i I have, for the SSDs, are not compatible due to it being a MegaRAID controller (I think - after researching). Can replacements be recommended for this please and thank you.
  14. I feel like I know the answer to this already but want to be sure. I am buying an old VM workstation off of FB market and going to turn it into a HexOS NAS Specs: I also have my old Motherboard and CPU that I could just throw in the rack mounted chassis that I am getting I am assuming that it would be better to go with my 10700k and move some of the other components over. Thoughts?
