  1. Hi everyone, I’m looking to completely move away from QTS and install HexOS on my QNAP QGD-3014-16PT. Now that HAOS has been confirmed to work on HexOS, I feel this is the right time to make the switch. Here’s my hardware setup: Model: QNAP QGD-3014-16PT CPU: Intel Celeron J4125 (Quad-Core, 2.0GHz, burst up to 2.7GHz) RAM: 8GB DDR4 (Upgradeable) Storage: 1x NVMe SSD (currently unused, considering it for HexOS installation) 4x SATA HDDs (used for storage) Network: Built-in managed PoE switch with 16x GbE ports + 2x 10GbE SFP+ BIOS/UEFI: Supports booting from USB My goal is to completely remove QTS and have HexOS running as the primary OS, ideally installed on the NVMe. I also plan to run HAOS as a VM or LXC inside HexOS. I have a few questions: Are there any known compatibility issues with this hardware? Would it be best to install HexOS directly on the NVMe, or should I use one of the SATA drives instead? Any special steps needed for migrating away from QTS and setting up HexOS properly? Any potential gotchas with the networking setup, considering the integrated managed switch? I’d really appreciate any insights or recommendations from those who have done similar migrations. Thanks in advance!
