Do you think clustering in general might be a feature? Potentially cluster licensing so you could cluster a bunch of raspberry pi’s or thin clients to gain compute but the license would only allow for a boot drive, so you wouldn’t have to pay $300/machine just to tie them together.

Do you think having non buddy (I.E. non hexos) backup targets is in the plan? Not having to buy two full licenses would be awesome

I know things like secure remote access and other metered features are going to probably be paid add ons as they incur running costs and we all gotta pay bills, but I’m wondering if there will be some sort of tiers or overall limit to the amount of drives or other hardware or if it will be 100% hardware agnostic for core features for the lifetime license.

It’s fairly simple to install and get everything talking to each other in other OS’s already but a one click solution with drop downs for different device manufacturers with basic presets for each would be super useful and I think make home security a lot more in reach for more people. And we all know how easy it is to setup home security that you have no idea who’s watching it with you 😬

They plan on having a secure buddy backup system so you and a buddy can each have off site backup for eachother

Just setup Nextcloud on my unraid server and hacking a one click option would’ve saved my weekend 🤣
