  1. I liked the blog post thank you for making it.
  2. Great! Love the updates! keep em coming 😉
  3. I am not a native english speaker, is this just a way of saying something will happen in the near future? To me it reads like there should have been an update with in the last week... am I overlooking/misunderstanding something?
  4. I understand that it takes time, but no update for two months is quite long. I am not even looking for a software update. I am just genuinely interested at whats going on...
  5. Looks awesome. The github mentions that it ls under heavy development, and since hex os backups are not there yet I think I am gonna stick to owntracks. But it is on my want it list now 😉
  6. I just learned about ownTracks, I spinned it up and it looks awesome, you can track your own movement in a time line and add other people if you want. I think this is an awesome self-hosted app, in the vein of degoogling your life: https://github.com/owntracks/frontend (link to the web frontend). P.S.: They already have ios and android app support
  7. My concern is mostly with breaking changes and quick response time. I do not expect a free time template maker to commit a new update as soon as problems arise. In contrast I expect that hexos will keep up to date with e.g. immich once it leaves beta.
  8. I have a question how does the app template differentiate itself from unraids system? I like the idea of community apps, but I was really looking forward to optimal one click setup apps that have support by people who are not doing it as a hobby.
  9. Looking forward to this! But no rush
  10. Since its a NAS Software, I would like to see some Data management apps like Jellyfin- for tv, movies and music media Audiobookshelf - for audio media Kavita - for book media Tandoor - for recipies Paperless NGX - for Document sorting Trillium - for Notes BookStack - for wikilike knowledge base HomeBox - for real life storage management 😉 Some reverse proxy with with SSO Other Apps I would like to see but would also be fine with hosting it via dockge ScratchMap - because its fun and I can link to immich folders Vikunja - for kanban style planning exercisediary - for tracking my weights metube to download youtube wallos to plan subscription fees
  11. So I really like HexOs, but I think a reverse proxy is essential for hosting apps like immich. I came across cosmos cloud some time ago and its feature catalouge the opposite of HexOs v1 so far. In that it does not have solid storage system or VM management. But does have really great proxy support with included certificate generation, fail-2-ban, geo-blocking. In addition one can handle secuirty for each app as only through vpn, only with cosmos account (or only cosmos admin account), or no protection (although it also has a built in OICD manager). For the short term I will probably host cosmos cloud on hex os to get these features. But I really think that this is at least worth looking into for the HexOs team as design and usablity of the cosmos cloud proxy ui is very mature.
  12. I am actually curious how do you get to 90TB, are those 4K movies or are you providing storage for others?
  13. Thank you for answering looking forward to getting some big hdd into my HexServer in the future. Although I wont let myself dream of 90TB 😉
  14. 90TB !!! wow Can you select in HexOS where the apps store their information. Like Immich on SSD and Plex on HDD?
  15. I second that, documentation is really important
