will there be option to easily connect and back up things to a completely different system? like to PiNAS, or some off the shelf solution like synology I'm thinking for me a decent custom build NAS with HexOS, but run RPi on a 2nd location with just mirror, where things from my main hexos system would be backed up to

Can I just plug in HDD from windows or linux pc, give full permissions to one user and have that user be able to use it as is? no zfs pool, no raid, no nothing, just raw ntfs/exfat drive full networks share as is? and if not now, will that be possible in future?
