Thank you! I've got a couple of follow-up questions. I haven't found the V2 in my region, but I've found reviews the not V2 is also better than the Noctua one. I can draw more than double the power though (2 fans vs single fan), but it does seem much better at cooling at low rpm's. Does this mean I should tweak the temp-pwm curves? Or should it automatically find a lower rpm? It can support 9 140mm fans, so I was assuming that to be enough? There are covers included though for if you don't have fans installed and want it to be quieter. I can just remove a couple of those. Thanks for pointing this out. I've noticed my mobo only has 1 m.2 heatsink. Does this mean I should buy a couple heatsinks for my other 2 m.2's?

I'm still very new to this, my only previous built was my desktop. Now I want to built a NAS. As I don't have hardware laying around, I need to be certain of what I need before buying stuff. For now, my use case would be running HA vm (requirements: 2 cores, 2 GB memory, 32GB storage), Immich (recommended: 4 cores, 8 GB memory) on HexOS (2 cores, 8GB memory, 16GB bootdrive). So for my cpu: adding the above requirements gives me 8 cores, as it quite likely I'll self-host more stuff in the future, doubling that core count sounds precautious. I didn't find any reasonably priced 1851 mobo's with plenty sata 600 so 1700 socket it is. Are the 13th and 14th gen still a no go? Because a i7 14700 is cheaper than a i9 12900K for more cores (20 vs 16). As it is about time I make use of my license, I was browsing the forums. I wanted to make a new topic, so I log in and *poof* two new sections appear. Could it be made clear that some sections are hidden until you log in (and own a license, if that is the actual requirement)?

As someone who just logged back in after months of not paying attention, I have to admit I was also under the impression the Q2 update didn't ship yet. In the announcement forum there is a topic with "HexOS Q2 Update Imminent", but nothing really obvious that it did ship. I personally wouldn't have been able to tell that the linked topic is the one of the Q2 update. Just wanted to throw this in here.
