  1. Hi, I’m running a completely default HexOS setup (fresh install last month), I only logged into truenas once after the initial install to check things up but did not modify anything. The only apps I have installed are Immich and Jellyfin. I checked Truenas today and see the following alert: Critical SMB shares have path-related configuration issues that may impact service stability: Applications: ACL type mismatch with child mountpoint at /mnt/SSDs/Applications/immich/postgres_data: SSDs/Applications - NFSV4, SSDs/Applications/immich/postgres_data - POSIX 2025-11-16 21:04:11 (Europe/Warsaw) Should I do anything? I verified those claims, and ACL types are indeed different.
  2. Amazing news. I just hope adding HexOS Local will be seamless and won't require a fresh install/rebuild!
  3. I tried following the recommended guides - frankly too time consuming/complicated for a non-technical person. Instead I went the uninstall/reinstall route, it's very easy if you can backup/re-upload your content (which takes forever πŸ˜‘). The below post explains how to reinstall. It requires re-creating users/settings and logging in again on the mobile app.
  4. Have you considered pulling out the Immich update notification from the release? Or at the very least, posting announcements in-app an pinned on the forum about the issue, what users should be doing, what is your plan. I have had to scan multiple threads and posts to come to the conclusion that I should probably just wait, not try to update Immich, and that you might be sorting this out in a future release. What I know from the team is that you are working on the issue, it's not your fault, but no guidance πŸ˜•
  5. I'm not very technical and that Immich issue is quite scary, especially since Hexos is my main backup and the update did fail for me as well. If there are risks and I should back everything up elsewhere to be safe, I would like to be notified. I would also appreciate tips as to how to back things up from my existing Immich instance in such a way that reloading all my content after potentially doing a clean install would not be a complete pain. The data is stored under thousands of folders, having to retrieve them all manually would be truly horrible πŸ˜›
  6. To recap my understanding of options when wanting to Expand a 2-Drives setup: Option 1: Expand to RAID10 Add 2 new drives as a second mirror pair (zvol) to your pool, creating RAID10. Option 2: Rebuild as RAIDZ Recreate the pool as RAIDZ1, RAIDZ2, or RAIDZ3. Note: RAIDZ1 can be done with only 3 drives, so you may only need to buy one additional drive. RAID10 RAIDZ Backup Required? No Yes Ease of Implementation Easy Complex (requires pool recreation) Usable Storage 50% of total capacity 67%+ (with RAIDZ1 on 3 drives) Redundancy High (tolerates 1 drive failure per mirror) Varies (1–3 drives depending on RAIDZ level) Performance Faster (striping + mirroring) Slower (parity calculations) Cost Requires 2 additional drives Can start with only 1 extra drive (RAIDZ1)

  8. Yes, same thing here.
  9. I bought a used HP ProDesk 600 G3 with an i5-7500 (not the slim version) for a few bucks and added a pcie>nvme expansion card. I use an old sata ssd to boot and two 2TB nvme drives for storage, it works great πŸ™‚
