Not to mention, when hardware finally dies for the last time, it makes for fantastic decorative knick-knacks!
-
Imo, that's ythe best thing to do unless you really need new hardware. Keep e-waste from actually being waste! A lot of the hardware I get, I get from eBay. I tend to go for older hardware, giving it a new life.
-
I didn't. Ipicked up a lifetime license, but that wiped out my spending money at the moment. I need to pick up spinning rust for the pool, too... The tariffs are gonna hit me pretty hard, I think.

Is my hardware outdated, or does everyone else just want a beefier system?
AleiCat replied to FangerZero's topic in Hardware
I plan on using this DDR2 board I bought off eBay, lol. The RAM is old, the CPUs are old, it won't even have a dedicated GPU... The only new-ish parts will be case, PSU, and HDDs. (Still need to get that spinning rust.) Outdated hardware is still hardware, so don't feel bad if your stuff ain't all shiny and new. I say it's better to keep stuff out of landfills as long as you can -- rock that older system with pride! -
Holy...! That sounds amazing!

Shoes aren't the issue for me. The cold hurts all the way down in my bones... ...Which is why we have super-heavy hoodies, lol.

I second both mugs and stickers!

I have done this recently and there isn't even snow on the ground where I'm at. It's frakkin' cold out there when the sun's down...,

Yeah, I'm gonna have to ask you to be... uh, less accurate, because that... is so accurate it hurts. >ω<

It's really not, lol. Soda in general is just awful on the GI tract, energy, mental health, diabetes prevention -- you name it, soda probably hurts it. Unless it's a bad thing. Then soda tends to help it. I used to drink nothing but bean water and eat nothing but ramen. After narrowly avoiding kidney shutdown, dialysis, and possibly even death in my mid-30s, I started eating healthier (not as healthy as I should, but hey, baby steps) and switched to drinking almost nothing but water with the occasional tea. It seems, though, that right now, at this very moment, my biggest issue is... sleep deprivation exacerbated by dozing/short naps that just don't do anything to catch me up on my need to slumber. Well, in that case, bring on the caffeine. Bring on the tea. >ω<

Whoa †Δ† Nice suits, all!

I can't handle bean water anymore. Dehydrates me something fierce. Have a mug in my honor? Lol

Lower the minimum specifications of RAM
AleiCat replied to SignedAdam's topic in Roadmap & Feature Requests
I have a Supermicro H8SSL-i. It supports... 4GB of RAM. DDR-no-digit. I'd love to run HexOS on it, pull it out of mothballs -- but, being realistic, I don't want to turn off features I could potentially benefit from. I'll need to play with it to figure that all out, and I'm waiting for invite, so it'll be a while. Who knows? Maybe I'll find some config that would work for me and let me use the board; maybe you'll find a config that works for you and allows you to run at 2GB. I think if the devs state 8GB minimum and it can actually run as low as 2GB, then it's likely a case of, 'We don't really support this, but faff about with it if you like and see if it works. We probably won't be able to help you with much if anything, though. GLHF!' -
I'd go to adagio.com. Best teas I've ever had. Fandom blends can be pretty good, and cover a lot of franchises (like the Rurouni Kenshin tea pictured). Their regular teas are great, too. Black teas and oolongs are my favorites, but they also have green teas, matchas, white teas, herbal teas, and more. They also have sister brands for coffees, spices, and honeys that I can recall. They sell loose leaf, bagged teas, empty bags for use with loose leaf, strainers, and more. (Some products are out of stock a lot, sadly.) As for Earl Grey, I strongly recommend holding off 'til the day of the full moon and ordering their Earl Grey Bella Luna. I don't think you'll regret it if you love Earl Grey.

What's your brew this fine morning/day/afternoon/evening/night? I've been switching between these two from Adagio.

I'll ask you now to check your presumptiveness at the door, dood. There has been nothing innapropriate posted here. Assuming anything furry is inherently bad, is rather illuminating as to where your mind is at.

I know I have it on some spinning rust or other. I thought I might have some on my phone, too, but it doesn't seem that way. Let us observe a moment of sadness. (Only a moment, though!)

I've been wondering the same. Also, might anyone know of a more flexible setup than MSCS?
